A Brief History The seeds of the CopySafe service were planted as long-time computer systems consultant John Daly observed a recurring problem with his clients. They just weren't backing-up the important information on their computer systems. At the same time, they kept losing data in all imaginable ways; hard drive failures, accidental deletions, Windows installations corrupting and failing, virus attacks and internal maliciousness to name only a few. After one client lost two years of vital and expensive work, John decided that he needed to create a solution. A demanding set of criteria had to be met. The system had to be easy to use. It had to work with Windows, Macintosh, and every other major operating system. It had to protect data despite viruses, hard drive failures, fire, or theft. It had to be automatic, so people could set it, forget it, and still be protected. And, finally, it had to be affordable. And thus the CopySafe Data Security System was created - a system that meets the demanding criteria listed above. After extensive development and testing, eCopySafe.com debuted in June,
